Could you pass the U.S. Citizenship Test“.   The article and test show that the US Citizenship test is not an easy one to pass.

The online test is presented in a multiple choice format (which I believe makes the test a little harder as there are always answers which sound correct but are, in fact, false).  The actual test is made up of up to 10 civics questions, chosen from a list of 100 questions, and given in a non-multiple choice format.  The test is still hard and, unless you study, it is unlikely you will pass (this is true even if you went to school in the United States).

The U.S. Citizenship test is given orally during your naturalization interview.  You must get 6 correct in order to pass the test.

It you want more information about applying for U.S. Citizenship be sure to read our blog article: ” 10 Things USCIS checks at your Citizenship Interview“.  It should be read by anyone thinking about applying for U.S. Citizenship.

The information provided on this site is not legal advice but general information only. Laws can and do change and additional laws may apply in your case. Contrary to what your friends tell you every immigration case is different. Please contact our office to review your matter prior to filing any documentation with USCIS
