The online test is presented in a multiple choice format (which I believe makes the test a little harder as there are always answers which sound correct but are, in fact, false). The actual test is made up of up to 10 civics questions, chosen from a list of 100 questions, and given in a non-multiple choice format. The test is still hard and, unless you study, it is unlikely you will pass (this is true even if you went to school in the United States).
The U.S. Citizenship test is given orally during your naturalization interview. You must get 6 correct in order to pass the test.
